IOPTEST Technical Committee

Reviewed Nov 2007

Charter

MISSION:

The IOPTEST Technical Committee exists to achieve the following objective: Oversee all the CalConnect Interoperability Test Event and testing efforts sponsored by the Consortium to ensure early testing of standards. The IOPTEST TC will also gather and assemble the results of these testing efforts. The results will be fed back to the appropriate Technical Committees, and are intended to help validate, test, and clarify the specification of emerging calendaring and scheduling standards as well as help elevate existing standards to higher maturity level. The other periphery objective is to define a Minimum Interoperable Implementation for CALSIFY and demonstrate via CalConnect Interoperability Event testing.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

To achieve this objective, for each CalConnect Interoperability Test Event (as requested by the Steering Committee), this committee will be responsible for the following:
  • Organize the testing event
  • Contact the technical committees to identify which standardization efforts need to be tested at that event
  • With the help of the associated technical committees, make sure the required test cases, matching the selected use cases, are available for each standard being tested at the event
  • With the help from the technical committees, for each standard being tested, setup the criteria of success for that specific testing event
  • Before the event, publish the following materials:
    • the list of standards that will be tested.
    • for each standard being tested:
      1. the list of participants;
      2. the list of objectives;
      3. the detailed test cases;
      4. the criteria of success.
  • After the event, with the help of the associated technical committees, the IOPTEST technical committee will produce a report of the results.
