Observers at CalConnect EventsGenerally, an organization can only attend one Roundtable as an Observer, and one C.I.T.E. Event as an Observer. If an organization wishes to attend both as an observer it is welcome to do so during the same CalConnect Roundtable/C.I.T.E. week, but there is no requirement to do so. Information about Previous CalConnect EventsCalConnect publishes a newsletter called CalConnect Minutes after each event; this is a good way to learn more about what went on at the Roundtable and IOP Test Event and what the current work is in the Technical Committees. You can find copies of previous newsletters, plus a way to subscribe to the neewsletter, at CalConnect Minutes.Observers at a CalConnect RoundtableAttendance and participation at a CalConnect Roundtable is generally limited to representatives of members of the Consortium. However, a non-member interested in joining the Consortium may register one or more representatives to attend a single Roundtable on its behalf as Observers.Roundtable Observers pay the same registration fee as member representatives and are welcome to participate in all Consortium activities at the Roundtable, but will not be able to vote, nor to continue involvement after the Roundtable unless their organization joins the Consortium. Roundtable Observers are required to abide by the relevant clauses of the Consortium Membership Agreement and member representative Code of Conduct while attending the Roundtable and with respect to any actions resulting from the Roundtable in the future. The individual registering for the Roundtable as an Observer will be required to acknowledge that he or she, and any other individuals being registered at the same time, has read the terms and conditions indicated above and agrees to abide by them. Observers at a CalConnect Interoperabilty Test Event (C.I.T.E. event)Participation in C.I.T.E. events (also known as IOP test events) is open to both members of CalConnect and to non-members, although members receive a substantial discount on the participation fee. However, it is also possible for representatives from both members and non-members to attend a single C.I.T.E. event as C.I.T.E. Observers. This option is intended to give organizations who are considering participating in C.I.T.E. events an opportunity to be exposed to them in advance in order to better understand what happens at the events and how to prepare for them in order to make maximum use of the event.C.I.T.E. Observers pay a registration fee set well under the participation fee but high enough to recover the costs to the Consortium of their presence. Observers at a C.I.T.E. event may not participate in the event or disturb the participants or the functioning of the event; see Conduct of Observers at CalConnect Interoperability Test Events. C.I.T.E. Observers are required to abide by the relevant clauses of the Consortium Membership Agreement and member representative Code of Conduct while attending the C.I.T.E. event and with respect to any actions resulting from the event in the future. C.I.T.E. Observers are also required to agree to and abide by the C.I.T.E. Confidentiality Agreement and the Conduct of Observers at CalConnect Interoperability Test Events. The individual registering for the C.I.T.E. event as an Observer will be required to acknowledge that he or she, and any other individuals being registered at the same time, has read the terms and conditions indicated above and agrees to abide by them.
